Excellence...

A man once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby.
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?"

"No", said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage."

The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked.

"There is a scratch on the nose of the idol" said the sculptor, still busy with his work.

"Where are you going to install the idol?"

The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high.

"If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked.

The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."

-- The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not. "Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside. Excellence is not for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction and efficiency.

One more stepping stone

Today I'm stepping in one more stone in my life; first quarter of this 2010 was an eye opener, it thought a great lesson in my life, it was a big blocking stone in my path, but I learned how to make it as my stepping stone for my future.

There are lot of hope in life for happiness, lets have faith and hope :)

Half-century - 50th post

Yes, its my 50th post in this blog, still lot to go, there are lot of thoughts to share and lot of things to explore but still something holds me, and its not letting me to write everything i thought to share, don't know what to call.

Lot of things to explore, what we see in every moment is a different thing and mind thinking in different way, lot of thoughts running here and there, lot of situations happening every moment.

Don't know, whether we can share everything what we think, it might or might not be impact others in a different way. But still lot to express, lot to share :)

Some times, some people

It was a Sunday, an uncommon place, few people were sitting with closed eyes and some people reading news papers, among them one famous author was sitting with closed eyes, it was like a killer silence.

A man came with his two kids, he were sitting next to the author, closed his eyes and started to think deeply. Kids should not exceed more than six years old, they were started to play, in a little while, they were started to friendly fight, throwing one to another with whatever they found, and killer silence was killed by kids. Their father did not mind anything and he keep his eyes closed.

People next to him was started to feeling irritate, but that man still keep his eyes closed. That author is famous for writing self respect, patience, calmness; but in this stage he lost his calmness. He told to that man, 'your kids disturbing others, can you ask them to keep silent'.

He opened his eyes slowly, and said…"yes, have to do something, their mother died an hour ago, we came here because we cannot wait in the hospital to get her body since it will take a while… have to think what is next… SORRY…"

Authors angry were vanished like morning show vanishes in raising sun, he conveyed his condolence, and asked him whether he can help him in any way.

Kids did not stop playing, silence did not come back; but authors angry changed when he comes to know the situation.

There are lot of deep meanings for the situation. Some situation we can accept some may not. But when we come to know the reason, we can certainly.

We are not a machine to act same at every time. There is no surprise to see people act differently in different situations; in those situations, instead of getting angry better try to understand the reason, which will makes the situation better.

To the One whose luster is like a million suns,
That supreme Being who delivers us across the ocean of existence,
The blue-throated, three-eyed One who grants all wishes,
He of lotus-eyes and grave trident, who is the death of time itself,
I salute to Kalabhairava, the Lord of city of Kashi.


To the bearer of the spear, sword, noose and club,
That primeval Cause, the black-bodied, imperishable prime Lord,
The One free from all afflictions, the formidable Hero,
To the Lord who loves the wonderful Tandava dance,

To the Bestower of enjoyment and liberation,
He who is praised for His pleasant form and love His devotees,

       ஆதவன் மீண்டும் உதிக்கிறான் அவன் கடைமையை மறவாமல், அது மற்றொரு விடுமுறை நாள், நண்பர்களின் அழைப்பு விளையாட, காலை உணவு உண்ணாமல் விளையாட சென்றேன், காரணம் ஆர்வமல்ல வீட்டில் உணவில்லை என்பதே!

      மிதிவண்டியில் வேகமாய் சென்றோம், அது சாகசம் புரிய துடிக்கும் வயது, ஓடும் பேருந்தில் ஏறி இறங்க பயமில்லை, மரங்களில் தொங்க அஞ்சியதில்லை, சாலையில் விளையாட ஆர்வம் அதிகமே! நாங்கள் வாங்கிய வீரத் தழும்புக்கு அளவில்லை, இப்படி எங்கள் உள்ளம் வானில் பறக்கும் பட்டம் போல எங்கும் பறந்து செல்லும்.
